EC2 Networking:
The Amazon EC2 VPC (Virtual Private Cloud) team produces virtual networking that enables our customers to define their custom virtual network topology and take complete control over their virtual networking environment.

The Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) Networking and Security team owns the virtualized networking pipeline that runs right beneath all our customer's instances, adding features like security, billing and monitoring as we touch every single packet on every single host across our massive worldwide fleet.

The EC2 Networking team is starting a green-field project to launch a service for managing IP address ownership and mapping. This is replacing features from two existing services (Network Manager and IPMan) yet with a stronger availability and scalability characteristics. The new service will feature an AZ-independent and horizontally-scalable architecture to meet the rapid EC2 growth. At the same time we will be delivering new features to drive further EC2 VPC adoption. The team currently has a low operations load and we are aiming to keep it that way by building a next-gen service the right way.

The EC2 High Performance Network Virtualization team owns the packet pipeline that runs right beneath all our customer's virtualized instances, adding features like firewalling (security groups), VPC, billing and monitoring as we touch every single packet on every single host across our massive worldwide fleet. We are working on totally reengineering this pipeline so that we can get our virtualized network performance to match bare metal performance, whilst also opening the door a large number of important new customer facing cloud SDN features.
. Waral 鍗氬鏈夋洿澶氭枃绔,
The Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) Network Health Team is building a new platform to allow us to understand and communicate the performance of our hardware and software across our millions of customers and hundreds of thousands of hosts.
The EC2 Classic Network Stack is responsible for creating a virtual networking stack that enables our customers to define their custom virtual network topology and take complete control over their virtual networking environment.

The EC2 Plutus team reengineers our networking software as part of Amazon’s initiative to get EC2 performance to be as close as possible to that of bare metal. This would involve being part of the team that owns building, scaling, and maintaining high performance software to streamline the managing of millions of IP addresses under our control.
Kindle Content and Operations:
Are you a Kindle customer? If you’ve read a book on a Kindle device or used a Kindle app on your smartphone or tablet you’re using software built by this team. We work at the cutting edge of the e-book business, we define what the Amazon e-book format contains, we create the tools for publishers to author or convert to this format. Once we have an e-book file we build the software that reads that file and delivers a rendered page on a Kindle device or in a Kindle app. If you want to impact the future of e-reading, this team has the entire pipeline of opportunity starting from the publisher to the reader app. Along the way we create new innovations for Kindle customers such as pop-up panels in comic books, faster page turns, hassle-free DRM or one click conversions from over 10 different formats for publishers around the world.
At Amazon, innovation drives growth and enables us to offer our customers more types of products more conveniently and at even lower prices. Amazon Kindle is a revolutionary reading device and one of the most innovative businesses at Amazon. We envision wireless electronic reading experiences that embrace a physical book's simplicity and utility but take advantage of our store platform and the Kindle's ubiquitous wireless connectivity. Our vision for Kindle is to have every book, ever printed, in any language, all available in under 60 seconds from anywhere in the world. The Amazon Kindle team is seeking a Content Operations Manager for our Kindle Books Self Publishing Operation.
Amazon Fulfillment Technologies:
Have you ever ordered a product from Amazon and been amazed at how fast it gets to you? Every day, Amazon engineers are relentlessly working to decrease the time between Click to Deliver for your products. The Amazon Fulfillment Technologies team owns all of the software and infrastructure which powers Amazon’s world-class fulfillment engine. In the service of our customers, we are inventing in the areas of materials handling automation, machine vision, robotics, and machine learning. In parallel, we are continuously improving our processes using techniques such as lean, six sigma and kaizen. At the core of everything we do for customers is the Amazon Fulfillment Technologies platform. We own the fundamental data and services which drive our catalog, inventory and labor management systems. These systems underlie everything that we do – tens of millions of items in the catalog, hundreds of millions of items of inventory and billions of transactions a year! Every item that comes into the FC, moves around, and goes out to a customer comes through our systems. This is your chance to make a direct impact to Amazon’s core Fulfillment Technologies platform.
Retail Systems:
"There is no store larger, no scale greater, and no need more urgent than the call for exceptional talent to meet the growing demands for new systems, new ideas and retail solutions at Amazon.com. The Retail Systems group is where the company and its shareholders look for profitability and growth. It is the central nervous system that allows Amazon to be innovative and nimble. A fluid culture of improvement and transformation that permeates every aspect of the retail store from selection, to inventory to pricing and transaction efficiencies.

Technology is deeply integrated into all aspects of our successful Retail business. Our relentless focus on offering customers an ever increasing selection, low prices, all available to be shipped immediately, pushes us to a scale that is unlike any other retailer. We use technology to turn this scale into an advantage: we use patented technology to turn the art of retailing into a science. Instead of relying on human intuition, we build SOPhisticated algorithms that learn and adapt. We build statistical models that run on massively distributed systems to ingest huge amounts of data on purchases, on what our customers look at, on how our products are related to one another to automatically predict trends, seasons and demand of every single item that we sell. Technology infuses all of our decision making and our processes.

At Amazon, business and technology aren’t separate – our people who run the retail business have a deep appreciation of how technology can be leveraged in making our ability to serve customers better. Our technologists are just as excited about how the systems they build impact the retail business as they are about their specialization. Whether it is about improving database performance, horizontal partitioning and scaling, distributed computing, workflow systems or machine learning algorithms, their common interests are also about building the next technology solution to improve our business."
Consumer Website:
Consumer Website owns the technology stack for Amazon.com websites worldwide from the front-end customer experience to back-end service technology and website hosting. This includes ownership of core website pages like gateway, nav, detail page, and checkout, along with localization, media services, website rendering, content management, content optimization, Weblab, Clickstream, Web analytics, Robot Detection and Mitigation, traffic routing, DDoS protection, service frameworks, operations automation and more.  For additional information go here: https://w.amazon.com/index.php/ConsumerWebsite

Amazon Logistics:
Amazon.com stores and sells millions of unique items worldwide through its Fulfillment Centers (FCs). These items are shipped from tens of thousands of vendors into the many FCs in the Amazon network. We need different quantities of each of these items, we need to pick them up from the vendors at different times, and bring it into the FCs at specific times depending on the priority of the items. Each item has different dimensions, volume and weight and hence is associated with different shipping costs. What we end up with is a gigantic graph, with the nodes being vendors, carrier hubs, Amazon.com FCs and end customers. The arcs in this graph represent the time of transportation and cost of transportation. Each node has a specific capacity, and so does each arc, and there are time constraints on when a product needs to ship out of a node and when it needs to come into a different node. And we need to do all of this while incurring the least cost.

AWS Marketplace:
AWS Marketplace is a new e-commerce property focused on making it easy for anyone to discover, purchase, and run software in the cloud. AWS Marketplace is the "app store" for software that runs on AWS infrastructure (i.e. EC2, S3, etc). We are focused on creating a great experience for buyers of software – including developers, enterprise IT departments, and non-technical business users – and sellers of software who build and sell the software that is available on AWS Marketplace.
AWS Developer  Productivity and Tools:
Developer Productivity and Tools is a group of teams focused on making Amazon Web Services a positive and productive developer experience. We include services like AWS Elastic Beanstalk and AWS CloudFormation, language specific SDKs, Tools, Documentation, and Management consoles that make it easy to get started with AWS, simple to use, and hard to imagine life without. Through our educational content, blogs, and conference activity we help developers be part of the larger AWS community where they can learn, share, and get inspired.
