introduction of our research:
The ultimate goal of our research is to develop multiphase nano-structured smart and lightweight polymeric and hybrid materials with synergistic properties and multi-functionality. These polymers and hybrid materials can have variety of applications including lightweight materials, sustainable materials, automotive and aerospace materials, biologically inspired materials, biomedical materials, and food and electronics packaging materials. My research topics include the fabrication and processing of smart and lightweight polymers and composite systems, characterization of these polymer/composite system properties, correlation of micro- and nano-morphological variations with macro-polymer/composite properties, and multiphysics analytical and numerical modeling of these material systems. The research on these materials, their processing, and properties is well aligned with industry megatrends in renewable energy, sustainability, clean water, health, smart infrastructure & construction.
The main theme of the research is “Advanced Manufacturing Technology for Smart and Lightweight Polymeric and Hybrid Materials”. The research areas will include: Macromolecular Materials, Micro-/Nano-Additive Manufacturing (3D printing), Multifunctional Smart Materials, Micro-/Nano-layered Materials, Nanocomposites, Micro-/Nano-cellular lightweight materials, Computational Fluid Dynamics Simulation, Rheological Behaviour, Viscoelasticity, Thermophysical properties, Supercritical Fluid Processing, Statistical Analysis/optimization.
Also we are trying to do research on the microstructure change of polymer. So if you have experience of XRD using, don’t hesitate to contact us.
