Postdoctoral Research Fellow (Postdoc)
We have openings on Graduate Research Assistantships and Postdoctoral Research Fellowships in the School of Biomedical Informatics, University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. The GRA and postdoc will receive training in conceptual modeling, biomedical ontologies/terminologies, information extraction, EHR data normalization, and semantic web, as well as their applications on clinical and translational studies.
We are seeking a candidate with Informatics background and Java programming experience.
The ideal candidate should have solid Java programming skills. Experience with ontologies, OWL, RDF, and SPARQL is a plus. The Candidate should have a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Biomedical Informatics.
Research activities and successful findings will be translated into development activities for existing research projects, peer-reviewed publications, and extramurally funded research programs
