第一篇:讲gap year.

Several decades ago, people were still restrained to shouldering household chores without anychance to get educated, while it seems dramatic that there are innumerouschoices before attending university, such as working and traveling. Someold fogies might worry aboutthe difficult (difficulty) of returning campus after gap year. However, I insist that it’s worthwhile to work or travel before attendinguniversities.

On the first stage, few of us would deny that we can grasp benefits of broadening our horizons fromcareer and tour. We may get to (come to) know more people and variousfields in work ( at work place) and expose ourselvesto a new world (position/location/area) with unique experienceand unforgettable memories while traveling, which we may never gain viatextbooks and classes. Working and traveling have been named citizens’favorable choices to open up their outlooks for twoyears consecutively/ continuously, according to the report, as anoverwhelming 61.4 percent of the college students expressed their preferencefor occupation and journeys, toppling studying and reading in the survey.Obviously, we may obtain more experience by ourselves and be more conscious ofdifferent consequences resulting from different choices, which may alsodirect our major selection and future orientation.
数字在60-75%之间才具有代表性
只要可以直接支持论点的例子

Another crucialperspective is that working or traveling may equip us with easy access tocommunication and interaction strategies (skills). Everyone has tomake acquaintances with strangers by working and accompanying. An illustratingexample is my experience with my team members during an internship in Beijinglast year. We discussed over ten times to set up targeted purposes and modifymodels to finish (accomplish/ complete) the assignment ofhanding a business plan concerning financial products. Duringstruggling time, we inspired each other not to give up, came up withincredible ideas with everyone’s devotion and perspiration, and helped tofigure out difficult (complicated) problems that others wereconfronting with. The mutual affection among us in fact has kept untilnow, as we never became alienated with each other andmaintained a relatively close relationship, to which I supposecollaboration contributed much.

Besides the fieldof vision and interpersonal relations, we may also gain more practicalexperience in real life rather than theoretical studyvia employment/occupation/ profession and tourism. We may not beindependent enough We may never grow up (matual) unless we areable to live by (with) ourselves without parental support, and that’s also beneficial when we attend universities. Students would gettrapped in the ivory tower in university and end up with dependence on parents,if they could do nothing but contemplating platitude issues ordealing with arithmetic problems. However, studentsmay link (integrate立体) theory with practice during working ortraveling. Oceans of work in (within) limited timewould teach inform/instruct us the significance of multitaskingcapability; negotiation (negotiating) with colleagues andcomplying with managers would help to develop a sense of empathy aswell as priority; making a living alone by cooking or driving through travelingwould contribute to build and reshape our character, such asindependence and flexibility; The risk of running out of money would equip uswith the ability of managing our own budget and making ends meet, such assplitting the cost with travelers. The experiences in derived from/originated from/ stemmed from/rooted from work and journeys function asdirection to grow up and take care of ourselves, which are essentialduring our life time (lifetime), especially universities.

There will be setbacksand defect. There are many who won’t agree with every decision in this essay, and of course, the gap year can’t solve every problem wemay face encounter in universities campus or lifetime (lifetime). But (However,) it will always be honestwith us about the challenges we may encounter comeacross. Therefore, I believe before attending universities, no matter whoyou are, or what you look like, or where you come from, or who you love, youcan make it if you try the gap year.  The choice of working ortraveling will be the most advisable decision within your academic studies.

第三篇:tpo5.
TPO5#people do things they like rather than what they should do

People today spend toomuch time on personal enjoyment doing things they like to do rather than doingthings they should do.

It seems citizens aredrown in leisure too much to encounter struggling andresponsibilities actively, according to their albumsin Facebook and Instagram. They spend the whole daytasting delicacies and hanging around with besties. Thus more andmore so-called authorities blame citizens fortheir disorientation and indolence. However, I insist that interestsand relaxation are the necessities for our characteristics andefficiency, which doesn't (don’t) interfere with hard work atall.

To start with, personal interests are the cornerstones of our happiness and attributions, which can never been (be) overlooked under any circumstances. Itcan't be better to spend some time developing our own hobbies to release ourpressure and keep us in motivated spirits. An illustratingexample is my experience with running in campus, which I've kept for two yearsin row. The quiet and peaceful moment to flow my thoughts is what I treasuremost, through which I could simplify all the miserable memories andenjoy the rhythm of music. Once I failed an exam, however running atnight brought me a sense of accomplishment and inspired me to believe inmyself.

Besides persistinginterests, another conspicuous benefit from relaxation is sufficient space forus to improve our efficiency. Appropriate break out of indefiniteassignments can equip us with easy access to set up targeted purposes, reviewprevious results and obtain vitality to concentrate on work again. Given ifevery employee keeps on calculating tiny figures and clicking themouse for over ten hours a day, they would get stressed out and exhaustedwithout even noticing whether there exists any mistake and how to correct it.In this way, any occupation can only end up with decreased efficiency, frequenterrors and even disgust towards huge seas of deadlines. It's alsoharmful for the operation of business (businesses) runningbusiness in the long term consequence concerning high rates of laborturnover and a lack of priority among employees.

Moreover, human-beingshave never stopped exploring the mysteries in the universe andshouldering responsibilities for families, career andthe whole society. Everyone works as a tiny butindispensable gear for the running of society. For instance, assistants serve consumers in restaurants, merchandisers sell goods tomeet citizens' needs, and doctors perform operations and take care ofpatients in hospitals. Scientists have proved the existence ofgravitational wave (waves) in the past few months, whichdefinitely demonstrates human-beings are approaching the ultimate principleof the universe and dimensions. The win of AlphaGo over one ofthe top Go players represents a new age for artificial intelligence, which maylead to a thorough revolution towards productivity. These are thebest defense towards the argument that people do nothing but enjoy themselves,as every step of advance in the history is the consequence of devotion andperspiration of thousands of millions of people and groups.

Above all, wehuman-beings never attempted to seek for pleasure only, and what we’ve beenthrough is the combination of diligence and appropriate break. It’s the answerthat—that led those who’ve been told for so long by so many to be cynical andfearful and doubtful about whether people have undergone theirresponsibilities to devote to their fields to put their hands onthe arc of history and bend it once more toward the hope ofa better day.

Asked what thegovernment will do to sustain social development, the response must be theboilerplate answer: the greatest contribution of productivity will be to keepits citizens raising their living standard. And it in fact demonstrates thebelief by building up factories and deforesting. However, environment reallycounts. Thus we should spare no efforts effort in saving naturalresource, especially forests.

First and foremost, flourishing forests are the cornerstones of biodiversity. Because forests arecollections of extensive treasure trove of biological resources withindiversity, rarity ad and originality. For instance, Amazon RainForest is the most extensive forest around the world, which is also referred toas the lung of the Earth. It's estimated that millions of specieshave been identified while thousands of millions of unknown species are waitingto be discovered there. A most illustrating example is that there are at leasttwo million and five hundred thousand insect species in the Amazon. To prevent such resource from being damaged, we have to spare no effortsto saving save forests, which are the habitats for huge seas ofcreatures.

Besides preservingdiversity in nature, it's conspicuous that forests contribute to water and soilconservation. Given if we actually kept deforesting without control, bothqualities of water and soil would decrease thus result in serious catastrophes,to name a few, extreme drought, torrential rain, salinization anddesertification. Such measures could be incentives for acceleratedindustrialization and modernization, but reduced water supplies and barren landmay become inappropriate to sustain life. Also, consequent economic benefitswould suffer from insufficient resource, and human-beings may even get punishedby nature for environment destruction via stagnant economic development, aswell as hunger and the loss of home land, all of which are directly related towater and soil conservation.

Another benefit offorests we can't overlook is that forests equip us with transparent access tosustain ecological environment, global climates in particular. Specifically, the distinctive feature of trees and bushes, named photosynthesis, enables themto convert carbon dioxide into oxygen, which is an indispensable element forevery individual's survival. However, excessive carbon dioxide is the keyfactor of in global warming, which may lead to inundation andacceleration of Polar Ice ice melting, and in fact end up withruin of the whole world. Common sense informs us that national prosperity, andworld peace on a larger scale, derives from sustainable development. Suchprinciple is often broad and abstract in contrast to the narrowness and rigidityof the criterion-- temporary economic profits, such as commercial values oftimber. Therefore, if we keep consuming forests too much, this hint woulddestroy the long-term stabilization of climatic conditions since human-beingsare shortsightedly targeted at limited national revenues.

It's the answer --thatled those who have been told for so long by so many to be cynical, fearful anddoubtful about significance of conservation of forests to put their hands onthe arc of history and bend it once again toward the hope of a better day and agreener planet. If there is anyone who still doubts that forests contribute tospecies diversification, anyone who still questions the function of trees toconserve soil and moisture, anyone who still wonders whether it's crucial thatforests may absorb carbon dioxide, this essay would be my answer.

第五篇:lao mei185练习。
#练习76#children shouldlearn foreign language as long as they enter school

字数:585字

Asked what teacherswill do to prevent their children from falling behind peers, the response inelementary schools have has a boilerplate answer: the greatestcontribution of learning ahead will be to keep their students on top, especially learning a foreign language. Most parentsalso seem appear to agree that children should learn a foreignlanguage once they enter school. However, I insist that to learn a foreignlanguage in advance can do nothing but distract children from developing theirpersonalities and learning their native language.

To start with, thestatement itself underlines a serious mistake-- the very purpose of teachingand learning in fundamental schools, and education on a larger scale, is tomaster certain professional skills, such as a foreign language. However, commonsense informs me that education, and introductory schooling in particular, should be intended to build up children's curiosity in exploring anddiscovering unknown respects as well as various methods of thinking required toaccomplish that. Such expectation is often broad and abstract in contrast to thenarrowness and rigidity of the demand-- certain foreign language. Given ifchildren are forced to learn a foreign language as soon as they enter school, this hint would destroy the long-term function of schooling and education sincethe requirement is only shortsightedly targeted at a particular language skill.

Another thing to beworried about the statement is that, if actually carried out, innocent childrenwould be cast into the irrational disruption caused by at least two contrarylanguages-- native and the language taught in school, thus results inserious problem problems. For instance, a six-year-old boy in Hebeiprovince was constrained by his parents to learn English and Japanese at thesame time, while he even couldn't figure out the correct intonation of Chinesecharacters. Such measures could be incentives for more expertise, but itdisastrously ended up with the boy suffering from aphasia forever. To someextent, languages involve much more than memorizing vocabularies and grammarrules. What really matter are the cultural/folk customs and nationalintelligence hidden behind plain letters and sentences, which are too difficultfor an elementary school student to comprehend. Therefore, they'reapt to fall into upset, or even become an aphasic confronting withvarious/diverse/numerous languages meanwhile.

Admittedly, learning aforeign language at an early age is way too rigid and complicated. However, these children possess sufficient time and inexhaustible energy to acquireknowledge, and that drives parents and schools to teach students to learn aforeign language ahead of time. But there actually exists much existmany more opportunities for children to learn a foreign language, to namea few, trips abroad and summer vacations in senior schools. By then, they wouldhave a more comprehensive perspective towards varieties of languages, which mayequip them with easy access to absorb the knowledge. An illustrating example ismy experience with English. I didn't speak English until I entered the juniorschool at the age of thirteen. Mainly due to my thorough surrounding inindependent thinking and foreign culture, I became fluent in spoken English. Therefore, there is no need to push children to learn a foreign language.

Above all, childrenwould benefit more from learning how to learn rather than learningwhen they enter school. If there is anyone who still questions whether childrenshould develop characteristics or master specific skills, anyone who stillwonders whether children have difficulty in learning a second language, anyonewho still doubts whether there is any other time for children to learn aforeign language, this essay is my answer.

专业词汇不会是考题重点。比如如果你听不懂cretaceous,那么只需简记crt即可,每次重复听到这个词汇时,大致知道是在描述某个历史时期即可。
