Thank you for your note. I need to ask you first whether you are a graduate or undergraduate student. If you are a graduate student and need 600 on the TOEFL, then the equivalent to that is 100 (on the iBT). Once you score a 100 on the exam, you do not need to take the ELAE. However, if you score lower than 100, you do need to take the ELAE. In any case, the results of the ELAE should not affect your studies here. The results just let you know what your strengths and weaknesses in English are.
If you are an undergraduate, then you must take the exam regardless of your TOEFL score.
