One or two RA/TA openings are available for new full-time Ph.D. graduate student starting in Fall 2014, in Integrated Power Laboratory, Electrical Engineering Department of University of Texas at Dallas, US. The potential graduate student will work on research projects related to power management integrated circuits. Research directions include energy harvesting integrated systems, renewable energy systems, battery-powered portable devices, and biomedical implantable devices. For more information about these openings and research, please visit http://www.utdallas.edu/~hoilee/. Preference will be given to applicants had backgrounds in power electronics and/or analog ICs and had M.S. degree. Outstanding students with Bachelor degree are welcomed to apply.
Until now, our research group has published more than 80 IEEE journal and conference articles in top level places like IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits, IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems, IEEE International Solid-State Circuits Conference, IEEE Symposium on VLSI Circuits, IEEE Custom Integrated Circuits Conference, etc. Besides, Dallas is one of the major cities in US and is a great location for IC Design career with many headquarters and design centers of world-class semiconductor IC companies like Texas Instruments Inc., Linear Technology Corporation, Maxim Integrated Corporation, On Semiconductors Corporations, Intersil Corporations, etc. All alumni were placed in above companies after graduation. In addition, Texas Analog Center of Excellence at UTD is the only national research center focused on analog IC research in U.S., allowing UTD gaining excellent reputation in analog IC research.
If you are interested in these openings, please contact Professor Hoi Lee using email (firstname.lastname@example.org) with (1 )your undergraduate and M.S. transcripts, (2 )your CV with previous research experience.
