THE OPPORTUNITY
The Lin Research Group at NC State University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Scholar to develop computational approaches for understanding and designing biomolecular systems. Our work combines molecular simulation, statistical mechanics, machine learning, and experimentally grounded modeling to study biomolecular structure, dynamics, interactions, and collective organization. Depending on their background, the scholar may focus on biomolecular simulation, AI4Science, or an integrated approach combining both. The projects will collaborate closely with experimental experts.

Dr. Xingcheng Lin，北卡州立大学物理系及生物信息学中心助理教授，博士毕业于莱斯大学（Rice University）物理系，博士后工作于麻省理工学院（MIT）化学系。Dr. Xingcheng Lin是2026年的NSF CAREER获得者。
近年来以第一作者或通讯作者身份在国际权威期刊发表论文15余篇，包括 Nature Computational Science, Science Advances, Nature Communications, PNAS, eLife, 及 Nucleic Acids Research 等。
本课题组与诸多美国知名大学（例如临近的杜克大学（Duke University）、北卡罗来纳教堂山分校（UNC-Chapel Hill））保持紧密的课题合作关系。

- Protein-DNA and protein-RNA recognition, affinity prediction, and molecular design
- Protein- and small-molecule binding to DNA or RNA aptamers
- RNA conformational ensembles, folding, dynamics, and structure-function relationships
- RNA and RNA-protein phase separation, biomolecular condensates, and emergent material properties
- Chromatin organization, nucleosome interactions, genetic and epigenetic variation, and epigenetic regulation
- Physics-informed, interpretable, and data-efficient AI methods for DNA/RNA prediction and design
