笔记：
- "money cannot buy happiness, but it can make you awfully comfortable while you are being miserable" lol
- 很多人挣更多钱并没有得到更多的自由，反而收缩了：consumer pursuits are destructive to freedom
- happiest people have a tight sense of community, social support, and strong family bonds <- quality of our relationships
- normalcy is the rat race: a modern day slavery因为缺手freedom to act at will
- money can buy freedom when it is appropriately accumulated and invested

- luck is quite predictable: if you want more luck, take more chances
- mark cuban: owner of dallas mavericks nba team: process creates events that others see as luck.
- like wealth: luck is not an event but the residue of process. Process moves probability, and probability is a function of luck
- wealth is not an event, it is a process! 不要被售卖成功学课程的人欺骗，学习他们如何销售成功

- The law of victim: You can't be a victim if you don't relinquish power to some one capable of making you a victim. 不要把自己放在受害者的位置，对自己的决定负责

- wealth demands responsibility, followed by accountability: accountability is culpability to consequence and modifying your behavior to prevent those consequences. 为自己的决定负责是一回事，未来作出行动改变更加重要

- sidewalk: instant gratification that mortgages the future for a comfortable today/ slowlane: a sacrificial today in hopes of a more comfortable tomorrow
- slowlane: FIRE 今天忍耐 明天自由？要在人生最好的时候享受wealth，而不是60岁甚至无法滑雪的时候
- 2008 金融危机是最好的例子：只靠投资：the plan is a failure because the plan is based on time and factors you cannot conrtol
- CNBC 说最好的投资就是投s&p500四十年， 这非常恐怖：lifestyle servitude, assumptions: debt is evil, my time is abundant, money is scarce, job is the sole source of income, wealth = job + market investment
- slowlane 可以是piece of the plan, 因为wealth仍然需要financial discipline

笔记:
- Jobs: human domestication: limited leverage and limited control
- 纯靠攒钱，可能5年才睁到1百万，10年才存到一百万
- job limits learning and only narrows practical value to a confined set of marketplace needs. Experience is gained in action
- "pay yourself last" :taxes, and only way to shield from taxation is 401k

Chapter 12: Why you aren't rich

笔记:
- slowlane: ULL (uncontrollable limited leverage)
- slowlane is wealth = job (primary source of income) + market investment (wealth accelerator)
- Job [ intrinsic value] = hourly rate of pay * hours worked, which depends on time, but time has no leverage, the maximum upper limit is 24 hours, and small numbers do not make penta - deca millionaires
- no control in the job: cannot control employer, the raise, the economy or inflation
- Compound interest: also limited to time
     Wealth = intrinsic value (yearly) + compound interest (yearly)
-> Wealth =  time * hourly or salaried value + invested sum * (1+yield)^ time -> neither time or yield can be controlled, plus inflation being the elephant in the room
- research shows only 10% of penta-millionaires report that their wealth came from passive investment
- Asymmetric returns: wealth 一年增长800%
- I must control and leverage the variables in my financial plan, not false hope from time (mortality rate is 100%)
- wealthy is built with time as an asset, not as a liability; time is your primordial fuel, and it should not be traded for money
