    Phd,方向是Environmental Fluid Mechanics

I was rejected by CMU on Jan 17. I submitted on gradcafe a month ago, but I dont see it here. Just an update.

(I sorry I have to type in English since there's not Chinese input on this computer)By the way, this year CMU recruits several MS with 12500/yr. The tuition in CMU is one of the most expensive among engineering graduate schools, more than 40k/yr. The civil department in CMU seems has a particular affection in Chinese. I saw many Chinese names in their graduate students. Previously I have smooth correpondances with the chair in CMU. He appeared very warm and cheerful to me at first....until he reviewed my application and denied it..... maybe I'm not good enough for CMU. But I really dont like the way they deal with their applicants. They are exceptionlly good in CS. But speaking of Civil, now I kind of doubt whether they have enough fundings for PhD students. The small awards for MS are disgusting.... j
