请问，硕士是通信工程和网络，就业情况

I'm talking about graduate student, NOT the people with several years of working experience. Do not misunderstand my focus. Do you know any freshmen with deep-going knowledge of the whole ATT,VERIZON, TMOBILE network topology?  If they cannot get a job in 3 months, they should go back to CHINA, no american company have patience training a none-experience student. ESPECLALLY so many international students.

My point of view is based on statistics, not personal emotion, there are no difference between jobs, especailly the "engineering" job, what actually make sense are the requirements of US job market. CS and EE student can be trained during their study in school for coding or circuit/analog design. Communication engineering needs lots of years of experience.

Is that make sense to you? Rare students here in communication eng. have working experience like you and your experience in finding a job can hardly apply to most bachelor-master students from china.

请教一下，这个行业的职业发展和稳定性如何，在美国有哪些公司会招这方面背景的人呢？
所谓的厂商是哪些公司，运营商像VERIZON, ATT这些OPENNING多吗？

说白了就是网络技术支持工程师, 不需要编程, 偶尔写点小脚本啥的. 主要还是对网络协议比较熟悉(OSPF,IS-IS,BGP,MPLS VPN), 会配置和调试CISCO/JUNIPER路由器交换机啥的.

所谓的厂商就是CISCO,JUNIPER还有其他一些厂家. 美国运营商一般不给办绿卡的.

美国那边我不熟悉，那中国的华为，中兴照WillinDC这么一说不就废了啊，我就是从中兴出来的，将来无论云网络，云计算都需要很高的传输带宽，这方面的人才必不可少．

比较支持你的看法，我周五学communication的都去找码工的工作了，因为最好找，至于lz，最简单的方法你打开ATT/Verizon/Tmobile/Qualcomm/Cisco的career，搜一搜看看有多少job opening，再看看有多少要求citizen。green card就知道了
IC、RF绝对是火坑，我跟21楼的看法一样，因为你是读ms，fresh出来最好找工作的是CS无疑，这个绝对不骗你，IC RF如果你学的很好，工作没有找不到的，但是我认识的这些方向的大多是phd或者phd quit which means it required lots of research/experience
ps，cisco我觉得招国际学生的概率太低了各大运营商赶紧也不多，但是你有commu protocol背景没什么不好的，Qualcomm好多软件或者嵌入式职位都要求有protocol的knowledge

额...楼上各位
你们在谈什么？你们说的network是底层还是上层？做app层，搞搞cloud啥的还是挺有前途的
如果只懂底层协议，OO程序都写不好，还是MS毕业，那就歇菜了吧
