西雅图申请持枪证AFL/CPL(非绿卡也可持枪）

前几天刚收到热乎的证，简单说一下怎么申请（因为申请也特别简单）


绿卡or公民可以申请CPL(Concealed Pistol License)：https://kingcounty.gov/depts/she...l-license-2021.aspx
简单说只需要绿卡+驾照


合法居住的外国人申请AFL（Alien Firearm License): https://kingcounty.gov/depts/she...rearms-license.aspx
需要护照+当前有效签证+I94+靶场会员证明


我们在这里上了两节课（https://www.westcoastarmory.com/the-range/range/95）价格包含了会员费，于是在上完课之后让他们帮忙打印出来会员证明就行


I94要提前打印出来，H1b approval notice 上附带的那个I94不行，一定要在网上打印出来(即使入境日期很久远也要打印出来）


然后预约办理时间，到时候去就可以了


有几个注意的点，我和lg是H1b+H4身份，但是护照上的签证早就过期了，I94显示最近的入境时间也是三年前了，所以当时办理的时候等了很久很久，因为需要和USCIS确认身份，等了两个多小时最后工作人员说算了今天先不等了，等USCIS那边有回复了之后会通知你们过来，结果刚走没多久就说好了明天早上过来吧


于是第二天早上去打指纹同时交钱，最后过了大概一个半月就收到证了


整个过程除了等待时间有点烦之外都很丝滑，在西雅图这个又现代又野性的地方还是有个武器防身比较放心

申请afl不需要hunting license，网站上写的明明白白You must bring your current
Passport, VISA, and a Washington
State issued hunting license OR proof of membership to a Sport Shooting
Club. Original documents required.

有membership to a sport shooting就可以了

行了我的afl也下来了，被人提醒可以马上办cpl，看网页的原话：
If you are a Non-Immigrant Alien you must bring your current Alien Firearm License, Passport, VISA, most recent I-94, and a Washington State issued hunting license or proof of membership to a Sport Shooting Club. Original documents required.


等cpl下来就可以名正言顺隐藏持枪啦哈哈哈哈哈

有人说外国人即使有了AFL也必须要hunting license才合法的，应该是参考18 US Code g(5)


(5)who, being an alien—(A)is illegally or unlawfully in the United States; or(B)except as provided in subsection (y)(2), has been admitted to the United States under a nonimmigrant visa (as that term is defined in section 101(a)(26) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(26)));


to ship or transport in interstate or foreign commerce, or possess in or affecting commerce, any firearm or ammunition; or to receive any firearm or ammunition which has been shipped or transported in interstate or foreign commerce.


然后下面的y(2)
(2)Exceptions.—Subsections (d)(5)(B), (g)(5)(B), and (s)(3)(B)(v)(II) do not apply to any alien who has been lawfully admitted to the United States under a nonimmigrant visa, if that alien is—(A)admitted to the United States for lawful hunting or sporting purposes or is in possession of a hunting license or permit lawfully issued in the United States;




所以这解释了为什么county网站上说申请AFL必须要hunting license 或者membership of shooting club. 这个membership可以证明是sporting purpose，那么也就是说membership不是办一次就行了，需要每年更新，同理hunting license也需要每年更新大概是一样的意思

7月底申请了cpl，8月底收到，整个流程走完～

AFL这个只满足state的要求，还没满足federal的要求吧？ https://www.atf.gov/qa-category/nonimmigrant-aliens
你应该还需要hunting license才能同时满足federal的要求。

至于为什么有区别，就和大麻在州内合法但是联邦不合法一样。

西雅图真垃圾办个证还要afl

现在WA已经很垃圾了 只能买手枪和一部分拴动步枪了。想玩其他的没什么机会了。

请问这个和之前听说的那个狩猎证是不一样吗？需要每年续会员费什么的吗，另外可以隐蔽持枪吗

狩猎证是hunting license，不是AFL，隐藏持枪是CPL，有AFL可以买枪放家里，也可以装在书包里，但是不能放在身上

wa没有这个规定，上课的时候老师说了看见枪就默认是上膛的枪

上课要预约申请要预约，看你能不能约上，从小白到拿证至少2个月吧。AFL两年过期不能renew只能重新申请

夫妻一定要一起嗎？還是可以一人去上課領證就能買？

有小孩，夫妻一同出入不方便。

有一个事哈，就lz上课的westcoast armory对面的那个枪店，只有afl是不让买枪的，需要hunting license。至少截止去年底是这样的。
