Part one: System and Design (1 hour)
Have you had any previous system and design interviews? Forget about them! Optiver’s approach will likely differ from your previous experience. This interview will consist of a role-play exercise where you will play the part of a startup trading company’s CTO. The interviewer will provide the requirements at the beginning of the interview, and it will be up to you to ask all the right questions to come to a working solution. No previous trading knowledge or experience is required.
Part two: Live Coding (1 hour)
You will have a chance to show us your coding skills with a practical trading problem. We are interested in how you approach the problem and your ability to communicate your thought process clearly and concisely. You will not need any specific coding tool, as you will be using HackerRank for your coding.
