thanks for sharing your information about those old analog companies. Yes, your are right! In this industry, ADC really requires a lot of experience. That's why it's hard for new fresh master to get a design position in ADC area. I thought MXIM TI LT, they could provide some PMIC position for new fresh masters.

Apple is a very very very traditional and rigorous company now. Once they choose some chip maker for their products, it's very hard for them to change. I personally think CRUS Skyworks, AVGO, NXPI will keep supplying chip to Apple in the future.

We know what Q is doing in this market. They are mobile leaders! somehow this market is a little bit overheated and since TI, NVDA, BRCM all quit from that area, a lot of experienced level engineers lose their job. Then they give Q a lot of choice in job market and definitely that's a bad news for new fresh guys.


Although a lot of students want to actively find design job, other kinds of job types are still good! Students still have a lot of choice, layout, verification, validation, test, application. Don't look forward too much, your future is in your hands. Not decided by a job, it's decided by yourself!

谢谢分享！请问fresh grad在没有太多经验的情况下怎么申请verfication, test之类的职位呢？或者是如果准备这些职位的面试，谢啦

Agree。不过apple那例子不能这样说，选择是双项的，对于大的analog公司，很在乎毛利润，apple不断的砍价，大公司就选择退出去做更有利润的market(比如ADI，LT)，这时小公司才顶上来。skyworks靠的是那款无敌的PA，啥标准都能适应。可是这类公司太依赖单一产品，风向一变跪的快。
另外推荐下Intel哈，他家analog还是猛的。

TAMU可能是扩招厉害，或者课程容纳人数太少，选课太艰难。好不容易刚刚选上三门课%>_

What I do worry about is new students always thought they need get more and more analog courses in TAMU. Actually, you know what, the course loading is very heavy in TAMU. If you choose three in one semester, that means in the end of it, you may have three projects plus three exams. My experience told me this will push me too much and leave too less time to digest what we learned. That is a false region for all students. We need learn better while not learn faster! If you can be a master of course 474, that's enough for new fresh guys to find an intern or even full time job!

因为new fresh在学校里肯定是以学习知识为主，重点是design所用到的知识。很难有学校专门针对test和verification开设课程。有些人可能有在实验室里做过一些research，会用到test, verification等需要的技能。包括 chip level的或者board level的。。如果没有类似的经历，在找实习或者full time的时候，还是应该以准备自己上过的基本课程内容为主。毕大家在毕业的时候情况都差不多，一个Test team主要还是看你对学过的知识掌握的牢固不牢固，以此为标准判断你是否有很快的学习能力。
除此外， verification test等等可能还需要一定的coding能力； 对仪器设备的熟悉程度以及操作能力；与不同team member的沟通能力等等。。这些都是在面试过程中的加分点或者叫做闪光点。。真正决定你面试时能否拿到这个职位的，还是你对自己课程的掌握。毕竟，进入公司后总归是要重新来学习新东西的。。
