Pei Dong is an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Our research interests lie in the areas of materials design, advanced manufacturing, and device fabrication to address the integrated challenges space around the water-energy nexus and biomedical area. We are also working on multiple interdisciplinary topics, i.e. self-adaptive biomimetic materials synthesis, in-situ fracture test of nanomaterials, and optical, mechanical, and electrochemical performance of energy, water treatment and biomedical devices.

Student(s) with solid academic background in materials science/chemistry/chemical engineering/environmental engineering/applied physics/physics/bioengineering/ECE and hands-on experiences will be preferred. Full scholarship will be provided for the student(s), including full tuition and stipend.
