Open Position - Finance Manager
Location - Jersey City, NJ

Scientech Research is a prominent Quantitative Hedge Fund with locations in Jersey City, New Jersey, and Shanghai. We are currently in search of a skilled Finance Manager to analyze daily financial activities and provide strategic guidance to upper management on future financial plans. This individual will play a crucial role in our firm and oversee all corporate finance and accounting functions.

Responsibilities:
• Manage financial duties such as generating data, compiling reports, analyzing trends, and assessing the company's financial health.
• Supervise finance department operations, including policy creation, budgeting, recruitment, training, and process evaluation.
• Oversee preparation of account reconciliations, ensure tax and financial reporting compliance, and assist with cash flow forecasting.
• Coordinate with auditors to ensure proper financial monitoring.
• Develop financial trends and projections.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities through reviews and evaluations.
• Set department goals, advise management on financial decisions, and document financial status and forecasts.
• Mediate financial matters with colleagues, stakeholders, and investors.
• Create strategic business plans based on financial analysis.

Requirements:
• 3+ years of senior finance experience in a hedge fund or buy side asset manager.
• Strong understanding of financial trends and market patterns.
• Proficiency in finance software.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to lead and manage employees effectively.
• Sound knowledge of financial statistics and accounting principles.
• Familiarity with statutory legislation and regulations.
• BS/MA degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
• Professional qualifications like CFA/CPA are a plus
