I’ve received word from our appraiser that the shop you’ve chosen to have repairs completed at has come back with your vehicle being a total loss based on their own estimate, supplement received before starting repairs and their reputation for high supplements. Our appraiser believes there are other shops in the area that would be able to complete the repairs well under what RNR is quoting. We are looking to see what you would like to do. There are a few options:
If you choose to have repairs done at RNR we will need to deem your vehicle a total loss. We would have our appraiser run an actual cash value report and be able to pay actual cash value plus tax and fees, less what has previously been paid to you. We would ask for a copy of the signed title and arrange to have the vehicle picked up to salvage.
If you choose to keep the vehicle for the cost of a salvage bid (to be determined) we would pay actual cash value plus tax and fees, less the salvage bid, less what has previously been paid to you. The vehicle would be reported to the Dept of Licensing as having a total loss title. You can then choose to do with the vehicle as you wish.
If you would prefer to take your vehicle to a different shop for repairs, please present our appraiser’s estimate for their review. They would then work with our appraiser for any additional damage found during teardown, which is still a possibility.
