Areas of Responsibility:

• Designing and developing Enterprise Big Data solutions using Hadoop (including Java MapReduce, Pig, Java UDF, Hive).
• Designing and developing high performance frameworks to process data
• Building data ingestion processes from variety of sources such as relational databases and log files
• Partnering with data scientists and software teams to build, and test data products
  

You should have the following:

• 3 + years of development experience using Java, J2EE, Spring, Maven
• A background in Hadoop technologies (Pig, Hive, Java UDF)
• Data design and modeling experience, with strong SQL background
• Experience with distributed systems in a service based architecture
• A good understanding of general Hadoop technologies (Impala, Parquet, Avro format, Spark, HBase, Storm, Kafka, etc.)
• Experience in developing  and implementing complex scalable and high-availability architectures
• Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
