关于Virginia Tech的推荐信的问题

我在填写VT的推荐信时发现下面有两个文本框。
一个是：Please provide the most compelling reason for Virginia Tech to admit this applicant and explain your reasoning.，还有2000个字符的限制
另一个是：Use this section to provide additional comments on the attributes rated above, providing examples where appropriate. Please indicate how long you have known the applicant and in what capacity. You may attach a PDF file of your comments in lieu of entering them below.

这个应该怎么搞？感觉和其他学校的都不太一样。
