楼主大好人，三月底联系楼主推荐其他组的data scientist职位，四月初就有recruiter联系我了，后了做了一周take-home，电面了两次，上周去Uber总部onsite了，很遗憾跪了，但是面试的体验很好，跟面试官的交流也很好，学到了很多东西，也认识到了自己的不足，非常感谢楼主的推荐，祝楼主工作愉快！

十分感谢楼主，楼主超有效率，recruiter 也是马上就回覆，楼主冷静的分析跟快速的回覆都让人很放心:)

some updates:
experienced people usually get contacted by recruiters within 24hrs of refer
i can't walk you through my team's requirements - read job desc on the general site
My team is now only looking for Sr/staff level data scientists (means you need phd + at least 3 years experience in a very related field), plus being a decent coder (R does not count)
other teams are still hiring but experienced hires will be considered first.

Many of the fresh grads/junior level people revised their self-intro after my suggestions -- it is very clear those who gave specific details got past HR a lot more.
Basic fresh grad who did not read my msg clearly and did not follow instructions, usually got rejected right away.
Don't waste your chance - you can't get referred twice.

The interviews are not easy. And HR work VERY fast at Uber. Don't bother if you are not ready to interview. You will only waste your chance.
You will not got released from blacklist if you got all Nos on your onsite.

HR is pretty smart - even if you change your email address, you will get recognized in the system. PLEASE don't waste time for either me or yourself by pretending this is your first time applying for uber.
Many have tried. It does not work.

more than a handful of people have been interviewed on the phone or onsite, no offer so far

JD和项目描述是两回事。从评论看lz还是很给力的一直在帮忙。但是感觉uber对这个职位的需求并不急。按理说uber如此响当当的，放职位出去找个phd应该是很快可以搞定的，加上美国从来不缺高手。。。祝各位好运。

we already got a few accepts, and good leads on a few more.
so the remaining openings would be for very experienced hires only

for experienced people looking at other teams, the turn around time can be 1-24hrs.

Fresh grad is pretty much in freeze, unless you can show significant work.
