The Intelligent Autonomous Systems Lab of the University of Arkansasat Little Rock (UALR) has one Ph.D. student openings with full RA-ships for Spring/Fall2017. The successful candidate will develop navigation methods for a co-robotcane that will provide wayfinding function for the visually impaired. Theco-robot cane uses an RGB-D camera to locate the user in the operating environmentand perform object/obstacle detection.

The lab currently hosts research projects funded by theNational Institutes of Health, NASA, and Arkansas Research Alliance. UALR is adynamic metropolitan university locating at the state’s capital city, LittleRock.
