Stony brook university PhD offer?

今天早上5点收到邮件，申请的master（AI/ML方向），貌似问我要不要转PhD？
作为EE转专业的，有点吃惊…

邮件如下：

Based on your background and interest, we thought that the PhD program, with its focus on research, may be more suitable for you than the master's program.

Note that admission to the PhD program is far more competitive and prestigious as compared to the master's program. Moreover, PhD students are offered a full tuition waiver and full financial support (plus health insurance) that lasts for the program duration. Based on the strength of your application, we believe that you are well qualified. Nevertheless, a formal evaluation is still necessary. So, if you are interested in the PhD program, please let us know right away.

Since your application has already been reviewed for the master's program, the review cycle should be quick, and we will be able to get back to you within two weeks with a final offer letter.

However, if you are not interested in the PhD program please let us know as soon as possible and we will send your letter of admission tto the master's program.
