难受死了……被Purdue拒了

LZ别难过了，至少还有更好的学校嘛，人生总是不会那么完美的，但是你一定会有一个满意的结果，这已经很好了

初中时外教上课时给我们自弹自唱Always look on the bright side of life，到现在都一直忘不掉哈！Anyway, be man, look beyond.

Actually, Purdue Engineering School (at least in my department) encourage their students to go to a different schools for graduate study. That might be one of the reasons they reject you. Coursework in the top tier schools are almost the same with core courses and commonly used textbooks. What makes universities different is faculty's research.

According to my Professor, my department's admission committee don't recommend me to apply Purdue.

So going to another school to learn their research approach is not a bad choice at all. Don't be afraid of the uncertainty in the new environment. I am sure that Ann Arbor will have more opportunities than West Lafayette.

Anyway, I am still proud of Purdue. Boiler Up!

有可能米国大学考虑diversity的事情，也有可能是你的方向的prof们的事情,patpat……总之(I also feel soooo bad in the morning when I got the message...)
But something is just unbelievable in the world, please, please, please don't be upset. Soon you will adapt to Ann Arbor or other new places and make new friends. Then you'll have two sets of good friends in the US. ^_^


And I really think Ann Arbor is better in many aspects.
