嗯确实申请的时候会比较孤独，很少有人能交流，不过可以加到北航本科生申请的群里，人会很多的

我发现有个人在孜孜不倦地给我点踩，所有回复我说加油的盆友都会被踩，所以大家看了帖子有问题的或者需要交流的尽管留言回复，但如果只是给我回加油啥的就先别回啦（可以顶一下我的帖子嘻嘻）~~~我不希望大家莫名其妙被踩，你们的祝福和鼓励我都晓得啦！！！谢谢大家啦~~~

I totally understand the feeling, and sorry for English typing as I'm using my office computer. Yes during the doctoral tough time we always think if a "doctorate degree" is useful. My personal opinion is, it's not something like your citation or degree that will help you in the future. It's all about the hard work you've done. I still remember when I passed my QE, what my adivser said to me kindly almost made me cry: "all your hard work finally paid off." Now I'm approaching the final year of my Ph.D. and I finally started to feel that there's a huge difference compared to my Master's stage.
And just btw, don't believe citation numbers. Some areas like materials (no offense) have a lot of publication, but still not useful. For general engineering/science field, it's a general trend that (personally speaking), the more innovative work you'are doing, the less citation you'll get, cuz there are few people in this field reading your paper. Only people with similar experience could understand your feeling...I know...
Anyway, good luck in your academic career!
