CU-Boulder被Rej之后套来的一些信息，今年的招生水平，分享一下。。。

楼主上周被拒了，申的是Envir Studies，不甘心地追问系里拒我的原因，得到以下信息。。。好吧，我承认我被拒得心服口服。。。

原文如下：

Students are admitted on the basis of a holistic evaluation of each application with an eye toward best fit with the CU ENVS program, faculty and research interests, as well as likely success in graduate studies.  It is not possible to say why any one candidate was not selected.  I can only give a general description of characteristics shared by candidates who were accepted.

Successful candidates have generally identified a specific faculty member with similar research interests who could serve as a potential advisor and most have made personal contact with faculty working in their area of interest.  An ideal personal statement is concise, well-written and contains information on relevant experience (including research), types of courses and projects the applicant wishes to pursue as a graduate student, along with ultimate career plans.

Grades and GRE scores are considered as well but are not determinative.  For 2013 accepted applicants, the average undergraduate GPA was 3.65 and average GRE percentile scores were 90 Verbal, 75 Quantitative and 81 Analytical Writing.   Additional information helpful to applicants is available in the FAQ section of the ENVS website.

However, many applicants complied with all of these recommendations and still were not accepted.  With 162 applications and 30 acceptances, admissions decisions this year were extremely difficult.  Many equally qualified applicants were vying for the same limited opportunities.

总结一下：

1. 大多数成功录取的都套磁了的。。。好吧，为啥我之前听说这学校不用套的。。。

2. PS很重要，不言而喻

3. 2013年录取生的平均水平是：GPA 3.65， GRE：V90%，Q75%，W81%。。。好吧，我承认我差太多了。。。

4. 今年这个系有162个申请者，录了30个

总结完毕，我想说，这平均水平，也忒高了。。。

LZ申的PHD还是MS呀？

是环境研究吗？原来CU的申请人都这么高端 我瞬间觉得自己要悲剧了

是environmental studies。。。我申的是MS，估计申了PHD就更没戏了。。。你申的是啥专业？各专业不同吧，地里也有这学校其他专业的AD，感觉没那么高端。。。
