Work:
1. Some downside: we have tech debt due to pushing out features rapidly in the past couple of years but we are migrating towards microservice in Kotlin and gRPC, which hopefully can be done by Q4.

2. I can take on important project as a new grad. I feel challenged but not stressed out because people go out of their way to help you. It's a place where you can grow fast as an engineer.


Life:

1. 早饭有bagel和水果， 午饭catering， 晚饭有15元的allowance，可以从每天都不同的三四个餐厅任点。个人觉得这比catering好多了，虽然只有15元，可是选择很多，而且绝大部分选项都小于15，我工作日基本不在食物上花钱.

2.  Dog-friendly office. Diveristy and inclusion are pretty good for startups.

3. You can start greencard application on day 1 even without H1B. I personally think it's risky because you might not be able to get H1B three years in a row and you can't go back to school either.

4. Sponsor H1B.

Culture:

1. 公司文化比较transparent，weekly all-hands, 大部分员工的tenure < 2 years。 cofounder也很平易近有.I see them taking phone calls in the cafeteria all the time.


2. Work life balance is good for startups. You can work either 7 or 14 hours a day. My team is one of the busiest team, most people work around 8-9 hours a day. Nobody is in office on the weekend.

1.Comp is not competitive compared to big org for new grad, but pretty competitive for senior engineers. I have seen engineers with 6 year of experience choosing DoorDash over Google because the offer is better.
