There are 1 opening for PhD student and 1 opening for a postdoc position at School of Systems and Enterprises at Stevens Institute of Technology. PhD student will be supported with a scholarship including full tuition (54k) and a monthly stipend. The research directions will be focused on Data Science, Machine Learning, Deep Learning with applications to healthcare and energy systems. We are interested in both novel machine learning algorithm development as well as solving the real-world problems. Students who wants to explore the intersection of machine learning and operations research are strongly encouraged to apply.

Desirable PhD applicants may have a background in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or other related fields. A Master degree in related fields is preferred; outstanding undergraduate students will also be considered. Dr. Feng Liu will join the School of Systems and Enterprises (SSE) at Stevens Institute of Technology as an Assistant Professor in Fall 2020. He received his PhD degree in the Industrial and Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington. After graduation, he joined Harvard University (Medical School) as a PostDoc research fellow working with Prof. Patrick Purdon and Prof. Emery Brown. He also holds a research affiliate appointment at Picower Institute for Learning and Memory at MIT. He is a guest editor for Brain Informatics, and his research won best paper awards at International conference of Brain Informatics, and INFORMS Data Mining Society.

Stevens Institute of Technology: located in Hoboken, NJ, about 10 minutes distance to Manhattan, New York. School of Systems and Enterprises is one of the four academic schools of Stevens. The ranking of Stevens is #74. For Industrial Engineering/System Engineering the ranking is #33.

如果没申请SIT 2020 fall的还可以考虑吗
