Ph.D. positions starting in Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 are available in the Department of Systems Science and Industrial Engineering at State University of New York at Binghamton. The prospective students will receive full doctoral-level financial support with a tuition waiver.

Students from all science or engineering majors, especially Statistics, Math, EE, and CS, are encouraged to apply.

Research interests
Statistical machine learning and data fusion with applications in complex healthcare and engineering systems:
•        Statistical learning: big data analytics, multi-level modeling, multi-source data analytics, sparse learning, transfer learning
•        Quality engineering: complex systems modeling, monitoring, and control
•        Healthcare: medical decision making, i.e. disease screening, diagnosis, prognosis, and patient care

SSIE有很多不错的老师。Binghamton SSIE的强项包括电子封装（也是工学院各系的共同强项），以及health care system等等。系里重视和工业界的联系，合作广泛。PhD就业挺好的（我认识的PhD朋友大多找到了不错的工作）。
