One opening of a PhD student is available at the School of Systems and Enterprises at Stevens Institute of Technology, working with Dr. Feng Liu. PhD students will be supported with full scholarship (full tuition waiver + very competitive monthly stipend). The research directions are focused on data science, machine learning and brain imaging and medical imaging, your research preference is also strongly respected. We have very good computational resources and have very interesting on-going projects collaborating with very top universities in USA.
Desirable PhD applicants may have a background in Automatic Control, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related fields. A Master degree in related fields is preferred; Due to COVID, GRE is not required. Due to the visa difficulty, students who are currently in the US are strongly preferred. About Dr. Liu:

Dr. Feng Liu is currently an assistant professor at Stevens Institute of Technology as an Assistant Professor in Fall 2020. He received his PhD degree in Industrial and Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2018. He joined Harvard University (Medical School) as a PostDoctoral research fellow from 2018 to 2020. He also holds a research affiliate appointment at Picower Institute for Learning and Memory at MIT. He is a guest editor for Brain Informatics, and his research won best paper awards at the International Conference of Brain Informatics and INFORMS Data Mining Society.
