Postdoc position available in Biomedical Engineering

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with an interest in deep learning and image/video processing to immediately fill a postdoc position in Taebi Lab (taebilab.abe.msstate.edu) at Mississippi State University. Our lab develops early diagnosis methods and personalized treatments for different types of cardiovascular diseases and cancer. The initial appointment will be for one year and can be renewed upon the availability of funding and mutual agreement.

Applicants should have a doctoral degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or computer engineering. Expertise in deep learning, {image processing and computer vision} is required. Knowledge of acoustic signal processing is preferred. The successful applicant will work with the Departments of Agricultural and Biological Engineering to develop image-based medical decision-making solutions. Specifically, the project aims at developing novel methods for earlier detection of cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases. This position requires communication and interaction with our medical collaborators. Due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, we look for candidates who are already in the United States.
