狗家工位是不许外人进的，你带小孩去是不打算到任何工作区吗？

另外澄清，虽然我有自己的cabana，但是我自己没有带孩子去office计划和意愿。

很简单，如果我在任何Googlers Working, No Visitor. 的区域里看到非员工，我是一定会举报的。我也相信这个楼里的狗家员工都能做正确的事。违反公司policy还沾沾自喜，把别人的容忍当成理所当然，我也不知道为什么有人脸皮这么厚。

I want to add that there were people in my group who would occasionally bring a child to work and give them something to do, or put them in the conference room with a game machine for a while, until lunch.

It was atypical for this to happen, but if it's a school holiday, not a work holiday (teachers get more holidays than coders), and there was something critical going on for which they were needed, an the other parent wasn't available: it happened.

. It was quite rare, however, and the kids were all old enough and well behaved enough that it was never a problem.

I'd like to point out that Google runs on flex-hours, so as long as you clear it with your manager, and have a team member to cover your "must attend" meetings or your interview schedule, etc., that when these things happened, they generally turned into flex time off (just take the time with approval, without it counting against vacation or sick leave) or a "work from home day", rather than a "bring the kids to work day".

Each year, there are multiple bring-your-children-to-work days. However, it is expected that the kids will behave and the parents will simply show them around briefly and leave, possibly for lunch, rather than expect them to play quietly in a corner while they go from meeting to meeting.

So yes, you can bring your children to work; but only if you are not going to do work.

I do this once in a while, especially on weekends. The kids can do homework or read quietly while I do something in the office. I live really close, so it has been convenient when I want to do something work-related for a short while. I wouldn't do it if they would be disruptive to other people, of course. Also, some areas are out of bounds.

You should not bring your kids to work every day. The offices are not made for that, and it would be stressful for everyone, including the children.

. ΧHowever, Google is very accommodating for small and large emergencies. E.g. in our office in Hamburg, Germany, there is a "kid's room" complete with a working desk. So, if things go south and e.g. your kindergarten is surprisingly closed, you could bring your kid to the office and work in this room for the day.

(Or, even more likely, you have discussed this option in advance with your manager and take a day of home office in such a situation.)

Caveat: This might depend on your office location, and on your manager / team. I speak from my own limited experience.

狗不允许带娃？你把guest policy再好好读读吧

楼有些歪了。前面楼已经提到了，现在疫情期间，（至少湾区办公室），如果不是business critical的，是不能带guest的（孩子也算guest）。

看到daycare需要排队笑死了，孩子不是昨天还没有，今天就从天上掉下来的吧？你要是个负责任的家长，早就应该打听好需要的提前量，早早就把队排上。申请大学从高一就开始准备了，一准备就是三年，没听说谁到大

放暑假“临时”找daycare？请问你家是5月1号学校才通知你“明天放暑假”？稍微有点责任心的人都会提前查哪天放暑假，提前计划吧？就算没小孩的人也知道夏天放暑假吧？没有人会认为暑假是个突然发生的事让你来不及找daycare吧？

你急啥，又不是我建议找daycare的，我那层本来就是反驳送daycare的，因为对于这么大的娃又是放暑假本来daycare就不work。你回复之前看看前言后语再喷，本来我也烦网上互怼，就是看见一帮没娃啥也不懂的瞎喷lz顺便说说daycare的基本情况而已
