The Department of Information Systems at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) is pleased to announce three fully-funded doctoral student positions for Fall 2023. The Robert C. Vackar College of Business and Entrepreneurship is accredited by AACSB International. Our PhD program provides students with strong research skills that allow them to produce high quality research pertaining to the theoretical and empirical developments in the areas of information systems and emerging information technologies. PhD students conduct research on topics such as business analytics, social media, information privacy, and security, as well as health information systems. Our PhD students had great placements, such at Syracuse University and Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Our faculty also have published in elite information systems journals such as Information Systems Research, Production and Operations Management, and Journal of Management Information Systems.
To be considered, applicants must have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited university in a similar or related field and provide GMAT or GRE test scores taken within the last five years. Letters of recommendation, a personal statement, and a resume or curriculum vitae are also required and should all be submitted before February 1st, 2023.
