Job Summary:
The Junior Buyer will be responsible for administrative tasks, researching and purchasing inventory for projects under the leadership and supervision of the purchasing manager.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Major responsibilities:
•        Supporting sales to provide cost of purchased materials
•        Working as a dedicated buyer for assigned project.
•        Working with project manager for assigned project to provide material readiness of the project.
•        Create, release and track purchase orders.
•        Ensuring products are purchased at the right time, to specification and at a good price.
•        Negotiating with vendors and building positive, long-term relationships.
•        Experience with contracts and turnkey supplier sourcing
•        Preparing competitive retail and pricing strategies.
•        Planning, monitoring and maintaining suitable inventory levels.
•        Preparing budgets and forecasting purchasing trends.
•        Compiling reports on product performance and statistics.
•        Ensure a safe working environment by observing safe work practices and by following all safety policies and procedures.
•        Appreciate and maintain the proper level of confidentiality
•        Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
•        To communicate within a “team-based” work environment and interact well with fellow employees along with external customers.
•        Additional tasks and duties are assigned by the Purchasing Manager as they see fit.
