Ph.D. RA in Power Electronics & CPS

Prof. Jin Ye is looking for 1~2 highly-motivated Ph.D. students who have expertise in one of the following areas: power electronics, electric machines, smart grid security, control, and data analytics. The preferred start date is 2024 spring. The deadline for applications is October 15.



Dr. Ye is an associate professor of electrical engineering and the director of the intelligent power electronics and electric machines (IPEM) laboratory at the University of Georgia starting in 2023. Her research has been actively supported by the National Science Foundation, the Department of Energy, and the Department of Defense. Her group is one of the first to study the security, reliability, and resilience of power electronics and electric drives with applications to smart grids and electric vehicles. She is a general chair of the 2019 IEEE Transportation Electrification Conference and Expo (ITEC), a publication chair, and women in engineering chair of the 2019 IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Expo (ECCE). She is an associate editor for IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, IEEE Open Journal of Power Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Transportation Electrification, and IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology.
