PhD positions in CSE department at The Ohio State University

Dr. Mohammad in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at The Ohio State University is looking for Ph.D. students. The expected start date is Spring 2024. Selected candidates will work on the theoretical and applied machine learning with fairness, privacy, and strategic behavior consideration. Bio: Dr. Khalili is an assistant professor in the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department at The Ohio State University. He received his Ph.D. degree in  EECS  from  the  University  of  Michigan,  Ann  Arbor.  He  also  spent  a  year  at  the University  of  California,  Berkeley  as  a  post-doctoral  researcher.  His  research interest is in the societal aspect of machine learning algorithms, specifically in the areas  of  data  privacy,  fairness,  game  theory  and  mechanism  design.  He  was  a  recipient  of  the  Rackham  fellowship  from  the  University  of  Michigan  and  the outstanding  master’s  thesis  award  from  the  Sharif  University  of  Technology  in 2015, and he was a finalist for the Eleanor Towner dissertation award in 2018.
