1point 3acres
Lavaecho
a. shared dorm-style semi-private
.1point3acresb. shared dorm-style private. 1point 3 acres
(2)Shared Apartment
(3)Studio 和 One Bedroom Apartment
网址 http://www.columbia.edu/cu/ire
ID: housing-baidu 1point3acres
Password: ??(会在你们的Housing information的信里). 1point3acres.com
5. 关于I-House
Additional housing options except UAH
As for housing options in Columbia, we strongly recommend you to apply for UAH housing. It is safer and relatively cheaper. For those who are not eligible for UAH housing or who are currently on the waiting list, following are some additional housing options:
1. On-campus housing
Keep tracking your position in the waiting list of UAH and try to get a on-campus housing as soon as possible.
2. International Housing
You can rent a room in International Housing, maybe for several days, from UAH. Short introduction of International House (I-House):
UAH has made a special arrangement to lease 100 single rooms in International House, a private residence located at Riverside Drive and 122nd Street. To apply for rooms in I-House: Students must be 21 years of age or older; and they must fully complete both the UAH and I-House applications. The I-House application cannot be submitted online and must be mailed directly to the UAH Office. Note: Students are also strongly encouraged to apply directly to International House by contacting the office at 212-316-8400 or visiting the Web site at: http://www.ihouse-nyc.org. I-House may directly accept students who have not received UAH approval.
3. Off-campus housing office
The Off-Campus Housing Assistance is located at 419 W 119th Street. The link for off-campus housing office is.
http://www.columbia.edu/cu/ire/ocha/index. You can go to the
office and register for off-campus housing hunting. Also, you can find some apartment hunting tips and links on this website, which may be useful. Short introduction to using Online Resources: The UAH Web site link to the Off-Campus Registry: http://www.columbia.edu/cu/ire/ocha, has further links to numerous other online resources including, The Village Voice, one of the best publications available for apartment hunting. Each week The Voice has a variety of apartment listings, including sublets which may be good options for short term rentals (less than twelve months). The Voice is published on Wednesdays; if you want to beat the crowd, you may access its listings Tuesday afternoon on the Internet at http://www.villagevoice.com/classifieds.
4. Go to www.columbiabbs.com, house board
You may find a lot of useful information there and also post your own apartment hunting requirement.
5. Use CUCSSA mailing list.--
You can post your apartment hunting message to all the Chinese students in this mailing list.
To post a message to this mailing list, you can send your plain text only email to cucssa@columbia.edu, with a short and descriptive subject for your message. Please do not send any HTML-formatted message, attachment, or message longer than 20 lines when wrapped at 80 characters
per line.
6. Use the website: www.craigslist.com
Excellent resource for long or short-term housing options. Free to search or list.
7.Check listings in The New York Times
The New York Times has daily apartment listings and an extensive "Residential Real Estate" classified ads section on Sundays. The Sunday edition can be bought at newsstands on Saturday evening, or found at: http://www.nytoday.com/realestate.
8.Watch for posters in the Columbia neighborhood.-baidu 1point3acres
Keep your eye out for signs on bus stop shelters, lamp posts, and local bulletin boards. People with apartments to rent and space for roommates often advertise in these places.
9. Additional summer housing options
http://www.columbia.edu/cu/ire/sublease/subregistry.html
University Apartment Housing (UAH) Subletting Database – Students, faculty or staff who are living in UAH housing can sublet their room/apartment long or short term. It is open to the public to search. Just click on "I am looking for an apartment to sublet. How do I view the listings of apartments or rooms available for subletting on line?” and follow directions to search.
www.nyu.edu/summer/housing
Click on "Summer Housing". New York University has dorm rooms to rent for the summer. Open to the public.
www.studenthousing.org. 1point 3acres
Check out their Web site or call the student housing hotline at 1-800-297-4694. They may have furnished rooms available in either their two buildings in Brooklyn or in their three buildings in Manhattan.
