Postdoc in Materials Simulations and Machine Learning



One Postdoctoral positions of simulations of biomaterials or nanomaterials is available in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of South Carolina. This position is for the project about biological systems (proteins, lipids and nucleotides), polymers, interfacial electron transfer/redox, or nanoparticles using multiscale simulations. The appointment will be 1-2 years.

Required qualifications:
1) Expertise in machine learning, Neural Network MD, QM/MM, AIMD, or cellular simulation.
2) Expertise in the simulations of interfacial redox and electron transfer, enzymatic reactions, polymers or nanoparticles.
3) Good programming skills.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: (1) experience in the quantum software (QChem, CP2K, Quantum Expresso or VASP); (2) machine learning, metadynamics simulations or the development of coarse-grained forcefield parameters would be a plus. Experience in handling big data would also be a plus.
