EE M.S. 小蜜对一些问题的解答

收到AD后咨询了小蜜有关deadline/tuition deposit或其他问题，昨晚小蜜回信，一一解答。贴原文如下：

1. How much time will I have to consider accepting the admission?‍

2. Is there something like tuition deposit that I have to pay when I accept that?‍

3. When I decide to accept the admission, What do I need to do?

4. Will I receive a hard copy of admission or admission information package?‍

1)     YOUR DECISION DEADLINE:   We have NO deadline by which you must accept or decline….EXCEPT the inherent deadline that comes from allowing yourself sufficient time to get all of your travel papers in order AND to allow for any surprise “administrative processing” when you try to secure your visa.  As such, I usually recommend students decide (be it an ACCEPT or a DECLINE) by April 1st…and definitely NO LATER than May 15.

2)     ENROLLMENT DEPOSIT:   There is NO deposit required.  You paid $75 for the application fee, and we respect that and try to keep further costs down, plus we try to allow you to have time to make your final decision without any coercion.   We hope you decide YES (i.e., that you will come)!   Take your time, and NO deposit required.

3)     UPON ACCEPTANCE OF OUR ADMISSION OFFER:   When you say YES that you ACCEPT, then 1-3 days after that, you’ll receive an email notification outlining the necessary items at that time.   It will explain everything at that time.  Your GRE and TOEFL are already OFFICIALLY accounted for, so that is done.  Thus, it will probably just come to the need for FINANCIAL documentation/certification.  The figure needed to be certified for 2015-16 is $70,417 (as you read in your admissions letter.)   At the time you ACCEPT, then our email after that will explain HOW you need to prepare everything for us, how to send it, what needs to be sent, etc.  For now, no worries, just look over your graduate admissions offers, and then, after some thinking….decide to come to Washington University in St. Louis! J

4)     HARDCOPIES:    There are NO hardcopies sent from us to you.  You would need to print out yourself, any information received, your application, and your admittance letter/offer, if truly needed.   We will send you, though, of course, the I-20 visa eligibility document, once that is prepared AFTER we receive your financial materials, which is AFTER you ACCEPT, and therein receive the aforementioned email explaining what is then needed to complete this financial certification check.

No worries.   Remain patient.   There is plenty of time, but please do decide by April sometime, if possible.   I hope that brings you comfort knowing you can have time to evaluate our school in comparison to others.  I can tell you, students love it here!

总结：不需要占坑费！考虑时间有的是！不给寄材料！

貌似听说有T补考到100以上就可以免考的，我发邮件问了小蜜，回复为：As for your second question regarding the English proficiency test, you are required to take it as stated in your decision letter. It is a way for us to get to know our students' weakness and help us better assist you in the future coursework. Note that if we find you would benefit from taking English proficiency courses, you won't be charged any extra fees so don't worry about the financials.

包含住宿、保险
"The amount needed for
certification includes anticipated costofliving
expenses, as well as health insurance
and miscellaneous fees; however, the amount does not include any summer program
costs should you pursue summer options."

虽然我不准备去，但是还是要点赞！！不给ddl不给占坑费~好啊！不愧是美国最富有的学校之一~

请问楼主admission letter上有写要参加一个语言考试嘛，我T没上100是因为这个原因嘛。。。
