The laboratory of Prof. Yun Zhou in the Department of Botany and Plant Pathology at Purdue University is looking for motivated and enthusiastic researchers to join the group. The research projects in the lab aim to determine the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying plant meristem development and stem cell homeostasis, through a combination of molecular genetics, live cell imaging, biochemistry, and functional genomic approaches (Lai et al., PLOS Biology 2026; Geng et al., Current Biology 2024; Han et al., Nature Communications 2020; Zhou et al., Science 2018; Zhou et al., Nature 2015).
The PhD position in Plant Biology is available for Spring of 2027 or Fall of 2027. The research assistantship of a PhD student provides fully financial support including the tuition waiver and stipend. English proficiency test (TOEFL or IELTS) is required for non-native English-speaking international applicants. Students with BS or MS in biology, plant science, or related fields, with passion in studying plant development, cell signaling, and/or transcriptional regulatory circuits are encouraged to apply. If you are interested, please email directly to Dr. Zhou (zhouyun@purdue.edu) the following documents: CV, a brief statement of research interests, and transcripts.
The postdoc position is available until filled. The candidates with training background in plant cell and developmental biology, molecular genetics, or genomics are encouraged to apply. If you are interested, please email directly to Dr. Zhou (zhouyun@purdue.edu) the following documents: CV, a statement of research interests, and a list of publications. |
