特色：主要是面向业界人士，因此是晚上上课。但也可以上白天的课程。

Dear Prospective Master of Applied Statistics Student:

We are pleased to let you know that we are now accepting applications for our inaugural MAS
class, which begins Fall 2016. The program is ideal for professionals working locally but is open
to students from around the world. All courses are offered in the evening and feature an
applied statistics curriculum that imparts practical skills.

The application deadline for the 2016-2017 academic year is March 31, 2016. Applications
should be submitted by then in order to ensure consideration. Please submit recommendation
letters, official transcripts and GRE/TOEFL scores via the online application. If you are
admitted, we will request original copies of the academic records and test scores.

To apply, go to www.grad.ucla.edu or click here to see an overview of the application process
and also to begin your application.

Space is limited. Admissions will start in February 2016. Applicants can apply now and are
encouraged to apply early.

以往的确有统计项目，这个项目是今年9/18成立的，比较就业导向，晚上上课，你白天还可以工作(是说这不干大部分同学的事)。就他们的解释thesis的要求是解决一个现实问题，猜测论文的要求不如UCLA日间部的统计学位高。

但他们强调老师跟课程内容都跟日间部的没有区别。

这是part-time的项目吧

Our intensive program accommodates part-time students and emphasizes coursework in methodology and applied statistics. It will generally take two to three years to complete.

很有可能不提供F1，一般国际学生没法申请?
