The Checkout team owns the checkout experience for all retail Amazon web sites worldwide. The team is responsible for the innovating and owning the end customer experience on all Amazon retail websites, using a variety of core technologies such as Javascript, Ajax, CSS, Java, and Perl/Mason. The Checkout team interacts with cross-functional teams across the company from all around the world, to build and own 200+ customer facing innovations per year, to make a huge, measurable impact to the shopping experience.

Supply Chain Optimization – Promise

The Delivery Promise team is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to help define and build systems that surface the capabilities of Amazon's world-scale fulfillment network as promises to customers. We're a small agile team whose mission is to drive great customer experience by using scalable and robust software, so the challenges and opportunities span both business and technical realms. We are seeking SDEs who can conceive and design complex software systems and build them using Java or C++.

eCommerce Selection – eCSCS

The eCSCS team is responsible for identifying worldwide selection opportunities and providing actionable data to the business teams to drive selection expansion. Our technical teams are focused on challenging technical problems such as building state-of-the-art crawling infrastructure, automatic classification, workflow prioritization and architecting large-scale distributed systems. We’re looking for people who innovate, love solving hard problems, and never take “no” for an answer. You will lead a team of top-notch software developers to work hard, have fun, and make history.

• Hands-on expertise in many disparate technologies, typically ranging from front-end user interfaces through to back-end systems and all points in between

• Knowledge of Linux/Unix and scripting on perl/ruby.

• Proficiency in, at least, one programming language such as Java, C, C++, C#, or Perl

• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails, Google Django, relational database or Cloud storage services

ECPS Common Platform Services – eCFT

eCFT is responsible for protecting customer and corporate data across all of Amazon, whether it's the retail website, Kindle or AWS, we secure the data. Every aspect of our business interacts with our systems, if our systems are not up and running the company stops, and if we're not rapidly delivering new, easy to use features the whole company slows down. We're at the intersection of can never go down, and need to move at agile, internet speed. We're connected to all aspects of Amazon’s business.

We are looking for software engineers who thrive on complex problems and relish the challenge of operating a complex and mission critical system under extreme loads. Our system responds to millions of service requests per minute. We do security software for high availability systems. Do you think you are up to the challenge?
