口语不清楚，不过总分112，口语应该有24+

There are many professors in statistics who are also the core faculty in machine learning department.  They are doing research in statistical machine learning to solve problems in FMRI, Network, Astronomy, Neuroscience,  genetics, etc.  Actually in my opinion, for the statistical machine learning part, it looks like more "machine learning" for statistics people, and more "statistics" for machine learning people.

I know at least 3 machine learning PHD students, whose advisor(and the only advisor) is statistics professor.

Don' t mislead people. Statistics at CMU really put an emphasis on Computing and also machine learning.

    Should I stress my computational statistics background in my application to CMU MPS? Actually I barely have relevant experience...

UCLA的专业都要speaking 24吗？太打击人了

感觉UCLA搞计算的人很多。

UIUC的concentration in computational analysis木有觉得偏向很明显，反正选课都是全校任选的。。
