刚收到来自utaustin的邮件，请大家帮忙解读一下

大概2月25的时候收到graduate school 的邮件，让查看网申界面，admitted，没有学位和funding情况。

今天收到了来自engineering fellowship的邮件，如下

In recognition of your outstanding academic record, we are pleased to offer you a fellowship from The University of Texas at Austin Graduate School (UTGS).  Your offer includes a UTGS Fellowship, valued at $9,000 each year that is renewable for up to three additional years provided that you:

·   register as a full time student in engineering classes – 9 hours each for fall and spring, and 3 hours each summer (unless participating in a summer internship approved by your advisor);

·   maintain a minimum 3.50 GPA; and

·   continue making satisfactory progress toward the Ph.D. degree as evaluated by your supervising professor and the CAEE department’s graduate studies committee.

As a recipient of this four-year fellowship, you will receive a minimum annual stipend of at least $23,875 through a graduate research or teaching assistantship position, along with tuition coverage and insurance benefits.  This funding would come from the CAEE department, unless you are supported through another resource.  Please refer to the offer letter from your department detailing the exact offer amount and any additional benefits.

I hope you will accept this offer to pursue your Ph.D. degree at The University of Texas at Austin.  

  

那么问题来了

1. 我只申了这个学校的ms，可这封邮件看起来好像phd的录取，不知道是不是我理解错了。当然我是很想读phd的。

2. 我究竟是只拿到了9000刀的fellowship还是fellowship＋gr/ta？

下午收到邮件时，回了封邮件问了下情况，后来也打电话了。可惜他们当时已经下班了。

只是好像搞清楚是什么情况，如果真的是fellowship＋gr/ta，应该就从了，就可以安心过周末了。

确实是 phd stipend＋fellowship，和开心

最近在美国做毕设，uta的一个老师问了我做毕设跟的老师我的情况，不知道是不是因此加分了。  但看起来好像和老师无关。

目测是PHD offer 每年23785 stipend + 研究生院给每年9k奖学金+学费减免,奖学金是有要求的要求保持一定的上课以及GPA,over
大cong啊lz! austin 好有钱 这相当于工资每年3w了啊当然应该要扣税

我当时是混申的，其实主要还是想读phd了，就是怕全聚德所以也申了些ms。
我方向是 ocean engineering，感觉funding还挺少的。如果真的是有funding的phd应该算是挺理想了。
