LSU Civil Engineering PhD student position available

A Ph.D. student position with full financial support is available in the research group of Prof. Chao Sun at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Louisiana State University. Prospective students with a M.S or B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Coastal and Offshore Engineering, Naval Architecture and other related majors are encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will work focusing on the following areas under the advisory of Prof. Chao Sun.
•        Coupled dynamics modeling and vibration control of offshore floating wind turbines
•        Hydrodynamics, modeling turbulence in wave structure interaction using CFD
•        Energy harvesting from vibrations and ocean waves
