CMU MISM Video Interview 面经

我是美国时间1月9号完成材料的提交。其实本来我只打算做Video Essay的，后来看到地里的同学有分享面经，想想还是提交申请七日内把这个Inverview做了。我是在Official Deadline之后交的Video Interview（虽然系统里面显示Submitted, 并不确定Committee是否还来得急看)。 CMU官网上并没有说CMU Video Interview必须要在Deadline前做完，只说提交申请后七日内。
只是在做Video Interview的时候开场Admission大叔有这么提了一下说要在deadline前交 (前后有点Contradictory)。
不过CMU自己也说了过了deadline也可以交申请， 只不过financial aid priority 给按时交的同学..."Yes, we will continue to accept applications for admission after the published deadline. The process will remain open as long as space remains in the incoming class."


因为我觉得这个CMU的Instructions蛮绕人的

• You may complete a video interview or prepare and submit a short video essay with your application for admission.
• If you submit the optional video interview as well as the optional video essay, both will be reviewed by the admissions committee, but submitting both may not necessarily improve your chances for admission
• We encourage all applicants to consider completing the video interview as a preferred alternative to submitting the optional video essay
  

所以我觉得从中得出的结论是，还是都做吧。希望下一年MISM就统一Video Interview is a MUST, 不要再说什么"Preferred Alternative"...



我遇到的三个问题：

• Besides your academic and career, which activities do you dedicate most of your time to? And how it could benefit the community when you study at CMU Heinz?
• Share an experience when you need another person's assistance in a project.
• Share a situation when you identified a factor for a problem.
