Congratulations on your admission to the School of Civil Engineering Graduate Program at Purdue University!

I wanted to provide you with some additional information to aid in navigating the admission process.  Within Civil Engineering the admission decision and funding decision are separate. Not all students who are recommended for admission are offered funding. The faculty reviewers decide whether or not an applicant would be acceptable for funding and are responsible for making any offers. You will be contacted directly if a faculty member wishes to discuss funding with you.

It is normal practice to assign each admitted student an initial faculty advisor so that they have a point of contact before enrolling at Purdue.  Although you are welcome to keep this faculty member as your advisor, you may also choose a different advisor once enrolled.

It would be helpful if you could let us know of your decision on your admission offer by June 1, 2012. As part of our planning process for Orientation (the week of August 13th) it is helpful to know about how many will be arriving for the fall semester. Additional information about Orientation (course registration and meeting your initial faculty advisor) will be sent if you indicate your intension to enroll.

呃……应该是能套到的……我印象中RA是给教授招的PHD学生的……不知道啊不知道
