POSITIONS: Two funded PhD positions are available for Fall 2017 at the Tennessee Technological University within the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Highly motivated individuals are sought to work on multidisciplinary research in the areas of dynamic systems and control, engine combustion and emissions, automotive powertrain control, and alternative/renewable fuels, intelligent transportation system. Prof. Pingen Chen’s research group focuses on modeling, diagnostics, controls, and optimizations of various automotive systems including conventional/hybrid/electric powertrains, internal combustion engines, emissions control systems, sensors, intelligent transportation systems, and advanced engine combustion with alternative/renewable fuels.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields, other general admission requirements (TOEFL, GRE. GPA).
