I ampleased to inform you that the admissions committee in Computer Science hasfound you academically qualified for admission for Fall 2017.  However, wecannot issue our official letter of admission and appropriate visa forms untilyou have sent the necessary funding documents.

As youknow from our application booklet, we must have supporting documents asevidence of adequate funding.  You must show evidence of having securedsufficient funding for at least the first year of graduate study. For aprivately-sponsored applicant, acceptable evidence of such funding consistsof a certified current bank statement on official bank letterhead, signed by anauthorized bank official, indicating the amount of sufficient funds that existto meet at least first-year expenses. A government-sponsored applicant mustsubmit an original award letter (or a certified copy of an award letter). Theletter must state the annual amount of the award in U.S. dollars. All financialdocuments must be written in English and valid within one year of the start ofthe semester. When sending documentation of adequate funding, photocopies offinancial documents are acceptable, and you may email them to grad@syr.edu. Be sure to write your name, dateof birth, name of the program you are applying to, and your SUID number****** on all documents you send.

Thecost of one year (twelve months) at Syracuse University is determined based onthe number of credits your program expects you to take, your living habits,cost of living changes and possible changes in tuition and fees. The attachedtable (https://graduateadmissions.syr.edu/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Estimated-Graduate-Cost-of-Attendance-2016_2017.pdf) represents an approximatecost of attendance, including all university costs and living expenses. Locate your academic program listed in the table to find the estimated cost ofattendance for one year of study.
