There are a variety of ways in which we can acquire items from vendors to our warehouses, ship items from one location to another, and several intermediate locations through which the package travels before reaching the customer. There are millions of such packages, each with different attributes, and different delivery requirements. What results is a highly dense graph of source, intermediate and destination nodes, with arcs between them representing possible paths for packages, with different costs and times along each arc. Accounting for all these constraints, maximizing the number of shipments shipped, while minimizing cost and providing the best customer experience is Transportation Engineering's primary focus. We are building services that enable the better visibility of freight movement across the supply chain and help the business to reduce lead time and costs. We build capacity planning, configuration and procurement solutions for Inbound and outbound scenarios.
Prime Delivery Experience	Seattle	The Prime team seeks talented engineers who take great pride in both the technical and business contribution of their work. You will be given the chance to have a significant impact on our systems, our business and most importantly, our customers. As a member of the Prime team, you will work closely with the business team to design and implement new features. You will use a variety of core languages and technologies including Java, Perl, and Linux to name a few.
Digital Content and Commerce Platform	Seattle	Want to shape what happens when someone initiate a purchase request for any digital content? Excited about building highly secure and scalable storage systems that need to process hundreds of millions of requests around the world without just throwing tons of hardware at the problem? Want to keep evolving the storage systems to be generic to handle any business critical and transactional data? Dare to push code to a Tier-1 service without any manual intervention and manual testing? SDEs on the Digital Commerce Platform team focus on building a common storage infrastructure platform to process millions of requests for digital content such as Applications, Music, Books, Newspapers, and Videos. As a SDE, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing the tier-1 storage services, at the same time uphold the OE (operational excellence) bar.
