Applied Math master求比较nwu,columbia& usc

这是现在收到的AD，还有个东北，目前在这三个学校里面纠结。nwu的截止日期蛮晚的，八月左右，但是哥大的要4.17交费。。。。今天早上又收到了USC的。对未来不是很有计划，但是想毕业之后先工作。
这三个program都不是很热门，有了解的同学吗

就业什么的没说，那个同学可能像读博。。但是我看西北的课程很偏应用，还有minor in scientific computing能和金融，cs沾上边，而且芝加哥是大城市，机会较多，学校比纽约少，压力也会小吧。哥大我当初看它把数学放在物理系下面就没申请。。不过它可以选CS，IEOR的课。 usc真不了解，如果如果找不到工作回国的话，哥大和西北会比usc好一点吧。。

这个是另外一个同学问小秘问来的，西北的项目
1) Our usual class of MS students is 10-15, and I expect the class this year will be similar.  This is in addition to approximately 10 PhD students.

2) There is no guarantee of going from the MS program to the PhD program.  Very few of the MS students in our program wish to pursue a PhD, but we usually have 1 or 2 each year that do have that intention.  Those students take the same courses as the students in the PhD program and also take the preliminary exams required of the PhD students.  Of the ones that pass the exams and complete the PhD courses, a little less than half of those students do advance to the PhD program.  It varies from year to year depending on how many PhD students pass the preliminary exams and how many faculty have openings in their research group.  Sorry I can’t give a more firm answer, but we are dealing with small numbers.

3) The program is designed to be completed in 3 quarters (9 months), but some students choose to complete it in 4 quarters instead.  If you choose to take the Phd curriculum, then you will have completed all the necessary coursework for the MS degree within 3 quarters.

谢谢啦，非常感谢，哥大那个我问了一个在读学姐，感觉上课啊什么的都很正常，并没有很偏物理。西北这个我主要就是担心就业，以及觉得冬天太冷了

诶没有诶

应数都不好找工作，这些应数要上的课很大一部分都是数值计算和应用分析这一类的，明显对于国际学生不会有什么工作领域用得上。这几个的话我建议西北，毕竟我去那边参观的时候发现有不止一个本系转phd的先例。虽然想工作，但是找不到好工作的话读phd也是一个选择。USC和APAM据我所知转phd都不是特别容易

我一个applied math professor说其实学applied math以后也可以做analytics。反正我目前也是倾向于西北

方便问问楼主最后去哪了吗
