手机一震，又被降了，又是没奖，又去不了了，offer在哪里？

在这焦急等待offer的日子里，我又迎来了一个降MS录取，它来自University of Missouri，又是一个降MS录取，又是一个没奖录取，but我的offer在哪里啊？


We  are  pleased  to  accept  you  as  a  student  in  our  new  applied  track  master’s  degree  in
statistics  for  Fall  2012.  


Unfortunately,  due  to  the  department’s  limited  resources  for  supporting  international
students, we  are unable  to offer  you  financial  assistance.  If  you decide to enroll in our
program, you must plan on paying the full cost of study here. The current estimate from
the  graduate  school  for  this  cost  is  $31,123  per  year.  (This  is  the  amount  you  must
guarantee to get a visa.)  However, our students claim that this estimate is too high.  More
specifically,  the  current  tuition  for  graduate  courses  is  $869  per  credit  hour,  other  fees
add up about $490 per semester, and health insurance is $700 per semester.  Our students
report that they spend about $650 per month on room and meals (sharing a two bedroom
apartment  with  another  student  and  cooking  for  themselves).  So  the  typical  student
spends quite a bit less than $31,123 per year.  

这费用岂不是要让我们家倾家荡产了，砸锅卖碗都不管用了，算了，还是不去了。。。

PhD的资助也有限啊。。。   

We had  an  extraordinary  pool  of  qualified  applicants  this  year,  but
we have limited resources for supporting PhD students.  

邮件中的一封欢迎信说的好：

我们系的科研学术水平高，科研经费充足，教学和科研水平在全美高校同类专业中处于前列。我们系在研究方面既包括坚实的理论问题研究，也有广泛的实际应用研究。

。。。。。各种无语了。。。。。这个学校也太没品了。。。之前还发邮件说你被我们考虑是top students considered for financial assist,然后要面试，后脚就降成ma,一分钱也没有了
